In March 1995, Jonas Dungaveckis’ Trade Company Lignesa was established. On 1st of August 2003, it was reorganized into the Lignesa Ltd.
At present, Lignesa Ltd. contains its branches in Vilnius and Alytus due to which the supply of fresh production all over the country is assured.

Since the establishment of the company, processing and conservation of fish and fish products have been its main activities. The company processes sea fish most of which is imported from Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Argentina and Canada, as well as fish, captured in the Baltic Sea and the lakes of Lithuania. Herring, mackerel, salmon, hake, sea bass, cod, carp, bream and other fish products make the largest part of the company’s production.

In 2003, Lignesa Ltd. received the EU Certificate of Quality that provided the opportunity to export the production to the other countries of the EU. Also in the same 2003, it was recognized as the leading company in Taurage Region.

Lignesa Ltd. offers an abundant assortment of production that can satisfy any, even the most particular eater. Among the most liked and valued products are dried fish, many sorts of cold and hot smoked and salted fish as well as different kinds of fish salads. All the products are ecologically clean and meet the EU quality standards. The production of the company is being sold not only in Lithuania, but also exported to Germany, Poland, Ireland and other countries.
